Wilderness Cry

the land weeps

it’s savior is gone

broken, discouraged, alone

empty pleas echo through the canyons

as the river calls

come, let me refresh you

and the trees beckon

come, we will give you shelter

and the wind whispers

come, rest in my peace

and the spirit cries

come, i will give you strength

but the savior is gone

never to return

the tears of the ancient ones

fall on dead dreams

the cliffs stand silent

and the creatures mourn

.
